Editorial Standards
Credibility is the only asset a sports publication really owns. These are the standards every Sports SA story is held to.
Accuracy & sourcing
- Match data, schedules, rosters and broadcast information are drawn from official sources: leagues (FIFA, NFL, NBA, MLS), federations, clubs and rights holders.
- Statistical analysis (records, head-to-head, possession, expected goals, efficiency metrics) is based on verifiable historical data.
- When information is provisional — projected lineups, transfer reports — we say so explicitly.
Analysis, not advice
Sports SA publishes editorial previews that discuss probabilities and trends. We use language of analysis (“the data points to”, “the trend favors”) and never language of certainty or instruction. We do not tell readers to wager, we do not publish betting offers, bonus codes or affiliate links, and we do not display live odds widgets.
Corrections
When we get something wrong, we fix it quickly and transparently. Substantive corrections are noted on the article. Spotted an error? Tell us through the contact form — corrections requests are reviewed within 48 hours.
Independence
Advertising on Sports SA is sold programmatically and clearly labeled. Advertisers have no input into our coverage, our headlines or our analysis. See the Advertising Disclosure for details.
Attribution
When our reporting builds on work first published elsewhere, we credit and link to the original source. We expect the same of those who cite us.
